Helping TEDx event organisers build sustainable communities around their events

Through acidlabs’ involvement with the international TEDx community, we have been involved in several projects to build skills and resilience in the vast group of volunteers who build and run TEDx events around the globe.

In 2012 at the TEDxSummit in Doha, Qatar we designed and ran a workshop to discuss how TEDx events could design for a volunteer crew that was sustainable and engaged, ensuring succession planning and both capacity and capability development were well-managed.

At TEDActive in Palm Springs in 2013, we collaborated with several experienced TEDx organisers to run a similar workshop to that in Qatar.

Finally, in Whistler at TEDActive 2014, acidlabs participated in a project to design and specify the capabilities of tools for TEDx organisers to manage the increasingly complex job of running TEDx events with their volunteer teams.

acidlabs maintains an ongoing involvement with the TED and TEDx community.
